But there is a bird that hangs out in the courtyard space outside my window who seems to think that 3 or 4 AM is a perfectly appropriate time to chirp his little lungs out.  By the time the sun comes up, he's gone.  I have had many fantasies of pulling out a shotgun so I can get a decent night's sleep.
