I'm about to hop on the train for my return to NYC, but I have to once again thank the users of the Chowhound message boards for saving me from utter culinary deprivation while I was in Albany. Thanks to their recommendations, I ended up at My Linh last night -- a Vietnamese restaurant. Despite the very slow service, even by NYC standards, the duck (which was highlighted by the Chowhounds) was delectable, with super-crispy skin and a tangy yet spicy nuoc mam sauce. However, I have to admit that I'm pretty excited to head back to my 'hood, with a vast selection of ethnic eats, all within a 20 minute walk (rather than a 20 minute drive) from my apartment.
